Krabi town is the travel hub of the south Andaman,with an international airport 20 minutes from the center of town.From Krabi,you can get to the beautiful beaches of Ao Nang and Klong Muang by road,and the local islands of Koh Phi Phi,Koh Lanta,and Koh Jum as well as Phuket town by ferry.The nearest train station is Trang,which is a 2 hour mini-bus ride south.
Ao Nang is a fast becoming a popular beach destination due to its location close to Krabi and its close proximity to some other great beaches such as Klong Muang and Tub kaek,as well as the beautiful Railay beach,famed for its towering limestone cliffs,beautiful beach and laid back atmosphere.there are a large selection of hotels,resort,guest houses and budget bungalows in Ao nang,ensuring that there is always somewhere to stay to suit all taste and pockets.There are a great many thing to do in and around Ao Nang for those who don't simply want to lay around the pool or on the beach.Activities include rock climbing,elephant treking,quad biking,shooting,Bungee jumping,golf,and of course,some great diving and snorkeling around the many local islands.One local diving company will even take you for a sunset snorkeling trip to a local island including a sunset beach barbeque and a night dive on the way back !
